Although we sell to all players in the industry, we focus on specialised engineering component application development. With these we have specifically been successfull in large OEM applications. Here the right Quality Assurance standards and specific technical requirements are important. The development of these products is a long iterative process, consisting of: Design Materials specification / selection Prototyping Testing (Under operating conditions) Gaining emperical field performance data Final acceptance of products by customers Only on successfull completion of this multi-stage process, do we upscale to full commercial production. This is inline with our philosophy of matching the right material to the right application. Apart from our local technical expertise, we are able to rely on the international Quadrant Group and its vast data base of technical knowledge. Substituting Metals with Engineering Plastics We sometimes experience apprehension when suggesting that Engineering Plastics should substitute metals. In the right application Engineering Plastics offer a vastly superior cost to life ratio vs, traditional metals. It is however important that the right material is used for the right application. An added advantage, often missed is the face that Engineering Plastics have no scrap value, meaning the possibility of theft is largely mitigated when working with Engineering Plastics. A large gear made of Nylatron GSM has significant advantages over heavier metal equivelants. The inherent self lubricating properties of this specific material make it well suited to environments where maintainance standards are hard to maintain & where a fair degree of contamination takes place. Whats more, its much lighter, thus making replacement easier and reducing down time. Linings Division Quadrant PHS's Linings Division is responsible for the installation of Tivar low friction liners in the mining, quarrying, construction, transport, shipping, loading and other industries. Linings are done nationwide by experienced crews trained to international standards. Our experienced Technical sales staff offer complete installation design and selection of specific grades for different applications and bulk material flow requirements. Our range of Tivar low friction liners have been specifically designed to solve friction, wear, abrasion, chemical, corrosion, build up, caking and bridging problems. Typical applications where these Tivar low friction liners are used include bins, hoppers, silos, bunkers, trucks, feeders etc.
